Description
When you purchase one of our Form 1 Kits you will receive a fully assembled product.
Included in the kit:
(1) Anodized Aluminum Tube
(1) 4140 Steel Threaded Cap
(1)Anodized Aluminum End Cap
(10) internal filters – (1) Stainless Steel (9) Aluminum
For corrosion reasons the first filter is stainless and the rest are 6061 Aluminum. Thread adapter is stainless steel, tube and end cap are made from Aluminum.
Booster Housing use:
If used with a pistol a booster housing might be required.
Any pistol with a browning style action, with the barrel moving when the gun cycles will require a booster housing and piston adapter.
When using a booster housing two aluminum internals will need to be removed to thread in the booster housing.

Order the kit with engraving and jig. Drilling it out was simple. Drill the steel baffles first. Fit and finish is nice. Form 1 process is super simple and fast, mine came back approved in 27 days after submitting. Customer service is fantastic as well. Very satisfied and will for sure get another kit and file another form 1.

The good. The trap is of very good quality and the laser engraving is top notch. It performs very well.
The Bad.I messaged quietbore on there “contact us” page and tried several times on there facebook page. I took me 7 months to get a reply from quiet bore on 3 lug adapters or if anyone makes one. The answer is no and no. This is a huge PIA due to quietbore’s decision to use not industry standard tube end caps which there is no reason for not doing. Because if they did I could easily use a Liberty or Gemtech tri lug adapter and I would have no issues and would still purchase from them. Due to lack of accessories and the extreme lack of customer support I will no longer be buying any of their products and will not be recommending them any longer. It truely is a shame because the quality of the trap and baffles is impressive for the price.

Fit/Finish: Overall, I am impressed with the fit/finish of the Quietbore 9mm kit. I didn’t have to do any de-burring and everything I ordered was included in the box that arrived, along with a nifty Quietbore sticker.
The Drill Jig: The drill jig makes converting the kit into a Form 1 silencer very easy. My one gripe with the jig is the fact that there is that there is only one flat surface on it, which makes it difficult to clamp in a vice of your drill press. The studs that hold the top and bottom together protrude from the bottom, also making it difficult to place it flat either on the drill press itself or in the bottom of the vice. I suppose if you were drilling with a hand-drill, these wouldn’t bother you as much but, in a drill press, it is important that the jig be sitting on a surface 90deg with the bit. I did manage to manipulate my press table in such a way that I could drop the studs through one of the slots in the table allowing the jig to sit flat. Drilling out the 9 aluminum K-cups, the stainless blast baffle and the aluminum end-cap was easy enough. The end-cap was a bit more tricky than it needed to be though since it doesn’t really fit completely in the jig like the cups do.
The booster housing and piston: The booster housing and piston are pretty simple, as are most boosters/LIDs… My one gripe with them is that there is VERY little of the housing itself sticking out of the back of the can once installed. Like maybe 1/16″. I can see it being very easy to get it stuck in the can. I took the booster apart and lubricated it with white lithium and then also lubricated the threads on the proximal end of the can with white lithium in effort to prevent it from getting stuck. When using the booster, you remove two of the aluminum baffles from the can. I drilled all 10 baffles though because I may use this can on an AR9 at some point which would involve using all 10 baffles and the included 1/2″x28 direct thread end-cap. They’re NOT ‘spares’. I’m just not using them in the current configuration.
Performance: I mounted the completed can and booster on the Double Diamond threaded barrel of my Glock 19 with the barrel not installed in the gun. I sighted down the barrel and everything was all-clear. While I do recommend using an alignment rod, the drill-jig comes with a 13/32″ bit (0.40625″) giving 0.05125″ over-bore. I was satisfied that with the quality barrel I have combined with using the jig to drill the kit, things were in-line.
I put the barrel in my Glock 19, mounted the can, and grabbed a magazine of Speer Lawman 147Grain TMJ.
Shooting my testing backstop (75lbs of sand bags) in the garage with ear-pro, all that could be heard was a pleasant ‘thump’. Without ear-pro, the can (dry) is uncomfortably loud (definitely not hearing safe) inside. Its quieter than the naked Glock 19 but, don’t think this is going to be quiet by any means. It simply isn’t. Shooting the can ‘wet’ (I just used misted water for ablative) made a significant difference and the can (wet) *is* very comfortable to shoot inside without ear-pro. Keep in mind that if you’re using water-based ablatives, you will want to thoroughly clean the can immediately after you finish shooting.
The gun cycled flawlessly. It did not lock open on last round but, I think this is likely the magazine rather than anything caused by the can/buffer. I have a few mags really old magazines that exhibit this behavior.
Cleaning: I put 15 rounds through the can in my tests. If I hadn’t used ablative (water), I wouldn’t have needed to break it down and clean it so early but, since I used water, I wanted to get the can cleaned, dried and the buffer lubricated again. It broke down easy. The white lithium I used when I threaded the buffer into the can made removing the entire buffer assembly a breeze. The distal end-cap came off easy with a 3/8″ allen wrench. A simple tap and the cups came out. They easily wiped clean with a dry cloth.
Overall: I am overall pleased with my Quietbore 9mm kit. I went into this knowing that it wasn’t going to be Hollywood quiet and it wasn’t but, it did meet my expectations.

I purchased 3- of them at one time, I did not get a “nifty†sticker at all, which I was looking forward to. And should have gotten 3 of them. On top of that, 2 of the baffles in one of the kits is not cut properly, it wouldn’t fit in the tube and I wasn’t forcing it to make it fit. I contacted them, but have yet to get a response, on where my stickers are, and most importantly what will be done about the baffles that are damaged and don’t fit??
For the price it’s worth it. If your looking for cheap. Not as quiet as everyone says it is. You don’t need ear protection, but still 100+dB. I was going to purchase one for my 5.56 & 300blkout, but I doubt it now, cause of what has happened here.
I did receive them in a very timely manner I will say that.

I went out and shot approximately 250 rounds through my AR9/Quitebore 9mm can. As a suppressor and SBR owner I run a lot of stuff and I have to say this is awesome. It has it at a comfortable level without ear protection and functioned flawlessly. I inspected the can after and was not loose nor was it really that dirty. I will be doing my paperwork in order to purchase/manufacturer another one. Can’t wait for the 5.56 to come back in stock. Thanks!

Awesome kit at fair price!! 9mm kit shipped just a few days after submitting my approved form 1. Drilling jig made it easy to drill everything out properly.
Took it to range next day and it performed great on Scorpion EVO 3, KP-9 and PC Charger.
Going to get a few more so they can stay dedicated to each PCC.
Would be nice if they offered some clipped SS baffles for added durability with binary triggers.

I received my approved form 1 in exactly 5 weeks from submission. The 9mm can is very well made. I also purchased the jig and drill bit. Drilling was no problem, use a vise and lubricant on each piece I had to drill. No issues at all. I fired this can on both my 9mm and my 380. The 380 was damn near silent!!! The 9mm was not as quiet as I was expecting, however no ear pro was needed and it was much quieter than without. Overall I am impressed with the can and the ease with the process. I will be ordering more!!!

This isn’t my first QB trap and it won’t be my last. I got this one for my scorpion and bought their 3 lug adapter to go with it. I couldn’t be happier….. well there is one problem. I didn’t get that rad sticker that others received. Oh well, maybe next time.

I purchased my second kit, and still pleased with the high-quality and fast service. Recently, it’s now required you provide an approved form one before they ship, which is just fine by me. I’m not trying to break any laws. I appreciate that they engrave the tube for you now, which saves time and money rather than have it done yourself. I can’t recommend enough. Doing a form one is 10 times faster than a form 4. The quality of the parts meet or exceed that which you will pay many hundreds more for for a retail can. I officially give it my thumbs up.

This is a solid 9mm kit. If you are using on a pistol, just get the booster housing and piston up front. Mine will cycle without the booster on a Beretta, but it’s not 100% reliable. With the booster it runs great. It’s lightweight and balances well on the gun. It’s perfectly pleasant to shoot without hearing protection, using my 147 gr subsonic reloads. QB service was great as usual, super fast shipping, excellent machining and engraving work. With the price, ease of manufacturer, and short time frame using eforms, this is a no brainer. Get busy making cans already.

The process this is a great way to experience NFA and suppressors. 16 days to process the form 1 and 2 days later my can was at my door. The drill fixture made the finishing process simple to complete with a hand drill and vise. The tri-lug adapter works flawlessly providing quick transition from gun to gun.

I got my form 1 back in 12 days this past August. I sent QB my stamp and ordered the 9mm kit. I received it two days later. I got the jig with it as well. I used a corded black and decker drill and had zero problems drilling out the baffles. The fit and finish if the kit is excellent. It’s very light as well. The engraving looks great too. I used 147grain federal Hi Shoks and they were very quiet. I used my Stribog, 10/22 and then my Glock 19X. Never had one failure and am super impressed with the sound reduction. I suggest getting some Freedom Munitions Hush ammo and you will be blown away. I cannot believe how good this can works. I am definitely gonna be buying more. Keep in mind, if you don’t use subsonic ammo it isn’t gonna reduce the sound much.
