Since YouTube once again has changed it’s policies to not allow “instructions” of building firearms or suppressors we have resorted to reposting our drill fixture guide here!
Here are a few short tips that we often get asked about:
1st: Make sure to place all the bolts through the fixture and tighten the tops and bottom first, making sure to not over tighten the horizontal bolt. (over tightening can offset the internal and cause off center holes)
2nd: GO SLOW & WITH OIL. You’re cutting metal, you need to have it well lubed and not work harden the material with excessive heat.
3rd: We recommend using a cordless with our drill fixture, not a drill press. We’ve seen multiple customers not have the drill press centered properly and snap drill bits and cause damage to internals. Using a cordless allows the drill bit to be more free within the bushing and have the bushing do its job.
4th: Our titanium internals seem to give the most difficulties to our customers. If you’re not experienced in basic machining we recommend purchasing extra drill bits online as you most likely will dull the bit running it too fast.
